Another week flies by, although I’m unsure how I survived it to be honest.
We have had a few cracker storms here in Brisvegas and, well….life is hard when you have a dog that struggles with storm anxiety.
My days turned into nights and into mornings, most of them spent holding, cuddling and reassuring my beautiful fur-boy that he is safe and secure.
How do your pets fair in storm weather? Any tips? I’m all ears.
What We Got Up To
The start of the October month has seen us out and about spending time with my family as all of our birthdays fall within the end of September and the first weeks of October.
Whilst I’m never happy about the numbers that I seem to be accruing, it is always a nice reason to catch up with family and friends.
THE BACHELORETTE AUSTRALIA
With the epic ending of the The Bachelor Australia the previous week, it was now time to turn the tables as the new season of The Bacherlorette Australia kicked off on Wednesday night with the unlucky-in-love-third-times-a-charm, Ali Oetjen.
So first thoughts on Ali; well, she is either a sucker and glutton for punishment or seriously looking for Mr Right and believes that reality TV is the only way to meet a man these days.
I’m not sure that if I were in her shoes, having gone through the 2013 season of The Bachelor Australia with heart-throb Tim Robard’s, being eliminated in the runner-up position and then, what seems to us couch commentators as only weeks later, putting her heart on the line, yet again in the 2018 season, The Bachelor in Paradise that I would be The Bachelorette.
Ali wore a gorgeous figure-hugging, bust enhancing, split leg crimson-red gown and stood out the front of the Bacherlorette house in what seemed to be the dead of winter, wearing not much but a smile and her heart on her sleeve, even though she was trying to admit that she is trying slow things down this time, it was evident that she wasn’t.
The South-Australian admits freely that she falls in love fast and this was evident after first meeting Charlie, where she seemed to finish their brief introduction almost giddy with glee and twirling her hair like a teenage school girl.
Then their was Paddy! Now, I’m not sure what the producers were thinking bringing this twat into the mix, but I guess it’s what makes for good TV these days. Personally, I was shocked at her choice on the first rose ceremony not to see him depart immediately.
Charlie was lucky enough to score the first single date and didn’t waste anytime in getting to know Ali intimately, however, it wasn’t the date that shocked me, it was the straight out arrogance, cheek and almost intimidating way in which he returned to the house and spoke to the other lads.
To me, he has made it clear that he won’t cope with life in the house, due to his rather jealous nature and will make more frenemies as the weeks go on, something to stay tuned for.
OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
Healthy eating program take 2….lasted 3 days. Let’s go for number 3 next week.
Why am I struggling? I seem, to be lacking some serious willpower of late and have a moderate addiction to all things Mentos.
Blogging update: still working through my niches and still a bit out of sorts here. I have to admit that I really didn’t write anything new last week due to over-analysis paralysis.
Anyhow, best run. What’s your week looked like? Have you started anything new? Any thoughts you want to share on The Bachelorette Australia? Feel free to leave some comments below.
